As if on a grand roadshow, the Camino Francés takes you through a diverse lineup of Spain's northern regions: Navarre, La Rioja, Castile and León, and Galicia. You'll find yourself marveling at Gothic cathedrals one moment and strolling through vineyards the next, with stunning landscapes thrown in for good measure.
Mike walked from Leon to Santiago in 2010 which is one-half of the trail.
He returned in the Fall of 2023 to walk the complete route from St. Jean Pied de Port, France to Santiago, Spain.
The Camino Portugues, or Portuguese Camino, is a stunning alternative to the Camino Frances, for pilgrims looking for a more rural experience on the Camino de Santiago.
Mike is walking a version of this trail in March/April 2024. Click the link below to follow his progress.
Switzerland is on the horizon! A family trip with one of Mike's brothers and his twin Uncle's. This should be an awesome trip to report on and one can only imagine the sight of ending at the Matterhorn.
